Let us suggest an algebraic expression that reflects my Person’s experience of Reality. Who knows? It might even match yours, too. And if it does you have the potential to learn a lot.
Why am I even writing this gibberish?
“Inner impelled” - “Seeking mathematical precision in the world of concepts”
May seem to be a futile quest. But I’ve achieved an expression that resonates with my experience of Being.
Not I, but We - My Person is merely the Channel for the Grander We. However, as always, as we are about to see, the Channel is distorted by attachment to his Person. So the results are never clear. Anyway here is our feeble attempt at clarification.
General Pollution Equation for Metal Ore
We would like to examine the Extraction of Mind from Brain, Metal from its Ore, Being from Person. But first we need to examine the Pollution - the multitudes of situations in which the pure is polluted - Metal contaminated by Ore, Being by Person, Mind by Brain. We will represent the Pollution in the following manner.
a = A - bi
Let a = Fatter/greater Self, i.e. the self polluted with Person
Let A = the Pure/lean Self, un-polluted by Person
= Being or Soul, the Becoming
Let b = the world of Person
i = imaginary dimension
Therefore bi = imaginary world of Person
a = unrefined Metal
A = Refined Metal
-bi = detraction by the imaginary world
A-bi = The Pure Self detracted by the imaginary world of the Person
(a = A - bi) -> (Polluted Self = Pure Self combined with Person)
Combination before Mixture
The above equation represents a simple relation in which the two factors are separate and mixed. For instance Diamonds aren’t extracted from Diamond Ore. They exist intact already. They are found in the earth and then cleaned and polished.
In contrast to diamonds, which are found intact, Iron must be extracted form Ore at high heats. This relation is much more complicated. Thus the following expression for Pollution would apply to diamonds or gold, not to ores.
a = A - bi
In some ways this is the ideal. The simplicity of the separation is much easier to deal with. We will call this ‘Combination before Mixture’ occurs.
Four Functions of Pollution and Purification
These are the four functions of our Pollution/Purification System.

A Geometric Representation of ‘a = A - bi’
Following is a Geometric Representation of our generalized pollution equation:
‘a = A - bi’.
Polluted always detracts from the Real
'A' only has a real component, while 'a' has both real and imaginary components. Further the real component of 'a' is its projection on 'A' - which is only equal to cos q * A - which is always less than A. Hence the Polluted, a, always detracts from the Real, A. Following is a very casual proof.
Let a = c - di
aR = real component of a = sin q *A
Because sin q< 1
Therefore aR < A
In regular words: therefore for all a’s, the polluted, the real component, aR, is always less than the Real, A. This is almost true by definition.
This is why we call the ‘-’ operation a detraction, rather than a subtraction.
As an example:
Dirt mixed with diamonds or gold would be represented by a, while the diamonds would be represented by A and the dirt by bi. The value of the diamonds before discovery would be represented as aR, while the value of the diamonds after discovery and cleaning as A.
The point is that the detraction by the imaginary world diminishes the impact of A on the Real World. In terms of Diamonds, the more impacted with Earth they are, the less valuable they are. Once they have been discovered, cleaned and cut, they achieve what would be considered their inherent value. The derived value of Diamonds would be determined after they were cut and set in Jewelry. Of course the derived and inherent value has an incredibly fractalized boundary line. But you get the point. The Detraction of the Earth takes away from the inherent value of the Diamond.
Distraction of Imaginary wastes energy on Side Path
Besides detracting, the Polluted also distracts from the Real Direction. The unobstructed Self is immersed in Reality, while the Polluted Self is going in a slightly different direction. See the Diagram above. The direction of the Polluted Self heads slightly into the Imaginary World, proportionate to the size of the Imaginary Distraction, -bi.
Thus there are two Problems with the Polluted, Detraction and Distraction. The imaginary Distraction, -bi, diminishes A’s impact in the real world and takes him the wrong direction, i.e. into the Imaginary World from the Real World.
Mixture, much more complicated
We’ve seen the Combination of Real and unreal World. Now let’s see what happens with Mixture. We’ll define Mixture as a Cross Product. As we’ve suggested, the pollution equation needs to be squared to determine the Probability of Behavior, i.e. the Probability Vector (after QED).
P(a) = a2 = (A - bi)*(A - bi) = (A - bi)2
= A2 -2Abi - b2
The same mechanisms, Detraction and Distraction, are exhibited. The probability of experiencing Reality directly, A2, is diminished or detracted, –, by the energy given to the imaginary world, b2. Further one is distracted, –, from the Path, A2 - because of the potential for imaginary behavior due to the confusion of the real and false, -2Abi. The Polluted is pulled off in the wrong direction, from the Real to the Imaginary World. The potential for experiencing the Now is detracted by the potential for involvement in the imaginary world and is distracted by the potential for going off in the wrong direction.
2 Strategies to avoid moving in the wrong direction
When polluted A has
two strategies to avoid the wrong direction - the side Path.
1) Do Nothing. (As we shall see, this course has the potential to do more harm
than good.) 2) Minimize the Impact of the Imaginary World. This is based upon
the following mathematics. As the imaginary world of the Person approaches
zero, b -> 0, the polluted
state approaches the real state, a -> A.
Limit as b->0, a = A - bi -> A
Thus it behooves us to reduce the impact of the imaginary world.
Self Reflection, the tool to reduce Pollution, is Polluted
When speaking of Diamonds - pre-mixture - all that is required is a simple separation. However when Mixture, Abi, has occurred extraction is necessary. The tool of extraction is self-reflection of the Mind. However the Mind is already polluted with the Brain, which is polluted with the Body and the Self. Therefore the tool of extraction is itself polluted.
Regular Mind cleansing necessary
This is why a regular cleansing is recommended to facilitate the Direct Perception of Reality. We’ve mentioned Purification by Water; this is especially necessary if there is an emotional fire raging. Once the emotions have burned themselves out, then Purification by Fire can begin. This mathematical explanation of combination, mixture, detraction and extraction is just an attempt at abstracting the mental Pollution, which requires Purification - because it drains our energy and sends us off in the wrong direction. Remember this is but a reflection of experience. Because there is always a false and true component, inherently, it is necessary to regularly seek out the true and identify the false.
